Deaf

Consider this,
If you were deaf
what would you miss?
The boom
of a thunder storm?
The vroom
of a car?
Or just the norm?

Consider this,
If your were blind
what would you miss?
The sheen
of polished gold?
The green
of new grass?
Or watching a rainbow unfold?

Consider this,
If your were mute
what would you miss?
The squeeze
of your opinion?
The scream
of the anger?
Or having your vocal minion?

Consider this,
that we take for granted
our normal bliss.
We might not think
What it's like not to hear.
What it's like not to see.
What it's like not to speak.

So lets loan
an ear
an eye
and a tongue
to those who feel alone.
