Bad Feeling

Bad feeling

There ain’t any worse feeling than the one of hope
It seems so often to fail us like the snapping of frayed rope
Endlessly grasping, for its evasive dream
Forever falling into, its bright new day scheme
Well I guess that’s what makes us human
That ability to hope and dream tomorrow be so bright
Rather than get off our knees, and “work to make it right”
