Keeping

I couldn’t zip up my pants and walk out the door
Ground floor the sleeper
So much weaker, no, you are of importance like the
Tims, the hat, and the shoes while rockin’ the wife beater

Who’s the speaker if two become one
Authentic mirroring like moon eclipse on sun
Darkening the light towers leaving other ships
Cold stranded forsaken
If we should kiss forever, who would be clever
to stay with the one lip, wrinkled and shaking?

Why do I lay here breathing and taking in an individual
Personality
Holding the hips and arguing that it’s a technicality
And you are special
Because you are the hold
I’ve never held before
