April Fools

Was I a fool to love you
this beating heart of mine
They said you come in April
this beating heart of mine
With tiny hands and tiny feet a wonder love of life so sweet
this beating heart of mine
Yet you did not make it
this beating heart no more
Am I a fool to love you still
this beating heart no more

Welcome to poetry soup. I like the rhythm the repeating phrase imparts to the poem, I'm not entirely convince but the sentence structure towards the end. I enjoyed reading you poem, well done
