Him
Your words shuffle through my head,
Chase my thoughts in circles.
Your smile, your squinting eyes,
I want to reach out and touch,
Head on shoulder, arm on arm.
You come closer.
Smoke, skin,
You’re in my lungs,
You warm my blood.
You light my cigarette,
I take my first drag.
And my world spins,
Hands shake,
Heart murmurs.
