I Still Cry

On August 12, 1998 my Mom died
All I know is that I cried

When I rushed from my new home in Edmond
All I did on the way there was cry

I got to the house and rushed to her room
And I saw that everyone was crying

I looked at her and saw the pale yellow in her skin
And all I could do was cry

I looked into her yellowish eyes, full of pain
And all I could do was cry

Then a single tear fell from her right eye

She took her last breath at 8:15 am
And all we could do was cry

The very next day I had to go to school
I was new, and sat alone at lunch and cried

Cancer took my Mom away
And still today I cry

Wow Amanda that is so sad to hear. Just reading this opened up a wound that I thought would stay covered for years. I lost my grandmother to cancer last May.
