I'M Enough
I may not meet your standards,
Or amount to much more than a passing glance.
But that's alright...
Because, I am me,
And I'm enough.
Enough to be a person in my own right.
Enough to be happy.
Enough to just be who I want to be.
I'm worth more than someones expectations,
I'm worth more than your fleeting notice of me.
I'm enough.
I'm worth more than what you think you know of me.
I may not be the dream you seek or the person that you want me to be.
Because I'm me,
And i'm enough.
I'm more than a dream that doesn't define me.
More than the answers you seek,
The body you wish to own.
I'm the answer to my own mind,
The one that lives my life in this body that is my own.
And I am enough!
