Eight Letters

Eight Letters,
Put together to form three words,
All equaling something confounding.

This thing that is showing itself in the depths of my soul,
I have never seen before,
But is easily recognized.

It's talked about flippantly,
Thrown around uselessly,
And found rarely.

All I do is look inward,
Unscramble the letters,
And I know what I have found.

I'm so scared to admit it,
Though everyone, including you,
Can see it.

These unscrambled letters,
I have no choice but to acknowledge them,
And, honestly, I want to.

ILOVEYOU

I knew it would be I LOVE YOU, without looking at the last line, from the 2nd stanza. Nicely written. Enjoyed! Thanks for sharing. Caroline.

Thank you for sharing your poetry Andrew M. Poets here offer such diverse writings and to me it is a pleasure to read each and everyone. I will not be here at the Soup to read from Friday through Monday. I hope you will find mountains of inspiration during that time. I look forward to reading when I return. Have a great weekend. Love, Carol
