Dear Mother

The pills she takes,
And the needles he uses,
Are turning them into fakes.
The child always loses.

You think she's just fine.
You think he's completely useless.
But they're slowly losing time.
They're slowly making nooses.

You think that it's their fault?
Their fault that they're slowly dying?
Heck no it's not!
It's YOUR fault they're laying there crying.

It's a quiet night;
Calm and peaceful.
But when you find them in the morning light,
You'd wish you had been a mother more faithful.

Do you see it now?
You took away their individuality.
Do you know it now?
You were the one to cause their fatality.

You were the one to kill them...
You, oh "loving mother".
--Cutting the fragile flower from it's life-giving stem--
Because of you, for all eternity they'll suffer.
