Day One

I don’t know exactly where you are,
or how you’re doing.
I don’t know if you’re eating,
or if you’re sleeping.
But, I’m worried.
I haven’t heard from you,
and it’s been 24 hours.
I don’t know if you just
don’t want me to know;
I don’t know if I just
can’t know.
And, I’m worried.
I miss you,
with every ounce of my soul.
I want you back home,
in our bed,
in my arms.
I want you next to me,
smiling as I tell you
I’ve done all the things you’ve taught me.
I love you,
with everything that I have.
I can’t wait until you’re back home,
in our bed,
in my arms.
Forever.
