Awaiting Change

Here I await change.
Anything would be something.
Anything could be everything.
Something left behind once was mine.
Something I was sure I did not want, disgarded.
Feelings of a heart that I'd long forsaken.
Feelings that I love & those which I hated.
Feeling like I'd do anything...
Sacrifice myself- AGAIN & for what good & to what end? Sacrifice & risk it all...
For a chance to walk in the light, again
Warm with love, again - It is cold in the dark where I've so long belonged...
but, strangely the prospect of "maybe" has drawn me out.
Squiting & scared...I wonder blindly,
hands poised & feeling out for something to grasp to,
until I get my barings... until I find you.
