Rocking Out To the Beating of My Heart
I’m waiting for tomorrow to start,
Just rocking out to the beating of my heart.,
I’m finally going to do something smart
And give into this complicated art
Of letting myself love and
Feeling feelings so grand,
Like my feet in the sand,
Or shooting a vaned
So far that everyone I know
Will look at me like I’m aglow.
I’ll even take things slow
From now on so
That when things go my way
I can just smile and say
“It sure is nice to be happy,”
And then one day
I can look back at the beginning, the start
When I did something smart
And gave into the complicated art
Of simply rocking out to the beating of my heart.
