After the Fall

I am going to get up now,
But I am not taking your hand.
My knees are shaking,
but I will be fine.
I may be in pain,
But life always seems to go on.

That's okay to hold on to a hand. One must always stand up, brush off the dirt, and move on with life. I like the essence of the message in this poem. Welcome to Poetry Soup and keep writing. Blessings, Joseph
