Silent Sky

Beloved
Now I no longer write poetry.
nor do I wait for anyone’s reply.
This heart itself has become silent now.
and I have draped an invisible veil of silence around me.
In the depths of my inner world,
I have slowly drifted away from myself.
The longing that once existed to have you,
the unspoken desire that lived somewhere within,
has now, with time,
completely dissolved into mist.
Years of restlessness are now calm.
and even questions have lost their meaning.
The heart is silent.
yet within this silence
a faint memory still breathes.
As if an incomplete feeling
continues to preserve its existence till the end.
This love, however unstable it once was,
has now transformed into a quiet acceptance.
My tears no longer hold meaning…
because between you and me
there was never any permanent bond-
only a momentary illusion,
which I mistook for truth.
Perhaps your silence was saying the same.
which I could not understand.
And so, beloved.
I have now detached this entire wound
from myself…
No questions remain.
no complaints.
only a transparent shadow of memories.
And in the end.
an infinite, peaceful sky-
where I am alone, yet
complete within myself.
