I Still See You Everywhere

In the dust on old photographs,
in faded chats and quiet aftermaths,
in stickers worn upon a laptop's frame,
somehow every road still speaks your name.

They say time heals and mends the pain,
yet five years don't disappear like rain.
Not in minutes, days, or months gone by,
not while your memory still fills the sky.

I remember that picture of our hands held tight,
a frozen moment from a gentler light.
One glance at it, and suddenly I see
the version of us that used to be.

And yesterday, across a crowded place,
a black polo shirt, a familiar face.
For one cruel second, my heart believed
that fate had returned what grief had thieved.

You removed me from your world so clean,
erased my name from every screen.
Yet here I am, searching your trace,
finding your shadow in every place.

People ask why I cannot forget,
as if love obeys what minds regret.
How do I tell them my heart still roams
through roads, through songs, through broken homes?

I know you're not mine; I know it's true,
yet everything somehow leads to you.
A scent, a photograph, a passing stare—
and suddenly your presence fills the air.

If loving you means setting you free,
then fly where you're meant to be.
But some loves don't end when people part,
they stay as echoes inside the heart.

So if one day you wonder where I've been,
I'm in the memories living between
the hand-holding photo, the midnight talks, our unfinished song and series (off campus).

Because you left my life without a sound,
yet in every corner, you're still found.
And though you've forgotten what we used to be,
every part of you still lives in me. ????
