New Day

The darkness comes and the shadows fall
The sun recedes behind the horizon
The breeze cools and the tide goes out
Night is upon us as the day is done
Life continues at a different pace
As I wonder what the new day will bring
Will it be the day disaster strikes or
Will it be the day that miracles come to light
There is safety in the dark
the new day can't cast it's spell
be it peril or reward until the dawn
and as the sun rises in the east
I wonder again what will the new day will bring
