What did i do

What Did I Do?
Do you think of her
in the quiet hours of the night
like she thinks of you?
Do you realize
she still loves you—
even if it doesn’t look like it?
Or are you so sure
she hates you,
that she’s gone for good,
that she’ll never speak again?
I keep wondering—
what did I do wrong?
What did I do
to deserve this silence?
We used to talk.
Now that feels impossible.
Like something fragile
we broke too easily.
Maybe you’ll forget me.
Maybe I’ll disappear
like I never mattered.
Maybe we’re better off
without each other.
Or maybe—
we were the only thing
keeping each other sane.
Because without you
I don’t feel safe,
and I hate that.
What’s wrong with me?
I ask myself
over and over—
why do you hate me?
What did I do?
I think I know.
But I’ll never be sure,
because the answer
was always yours to give.
I tried to understand you.
Tried and tried
to fix what I couldn’t see.
Nothing ever worked.
Your name
won’t leave my head—
it echoes,
louder than everything else.
Sometimes I tell myself
this is my fault.
You did this.
You ruined it.
But did I?
Or am I just
someone left behind
without a reason?
I guess I’ll keep wondering.
Because I’ll never get to ask—
what happened?
Why do you hate me
so much?
I’m still just me.
And I don’t know
if that’s the problem.
