The Duchess of Bermuda

The Duchess of Bermuda
was on her silken bed
trying to pull through a needle
some lovely golden thread.

The needle pricked her finger.
She fainted to the floor.
The noise it was so loud
the servants came running to her door.

When she wouldn’t answer,
they all became upset.
Someone stepped on her puppy.
Now they had to call the vet!

The vet was out to dinner
things were going quite insane
the puppy continued yelping
because he was in pain

The Duchess she came too,
and opened up the door.
She stared at her little puppy
who was yelping on the floor.

The puppy stopped his yelping.
The servants were dismayed.
The Duchess gave them all a smile
and sent them on their way.
