Tomorrow
I want to wake up
tomorrow with a soul,
hold my glass of wine -
with grace and imperfection.
People come and people go
but the words we speak
are always here no matter
how broken they are
I want to say
I'll love you but what if
you leave me behind?
All I'll have is my empty glass of wine-
Maybe, I'll find myself
as imperfect as they come-
my hair down to my shoulders,
teeth turning purple from the wine
Hold onto to what matters
to your silence and your truth
embrace the fear that comes
as then you'll come undone
you might as well,
see yourself
alone in your own company-
and find yourself tomorrow
