Independently

Losing one's Mother during a holiday;
can be difficult for a start,
there is so much I need say,
its all caught up in my heart ....

I knew someday would come ,
we'd have to lay Our Mom to rest;
I always had her guidance ;
Now I'll be a mess....

Always watched over me ;
every day of my own life,
went shopping and shared secrets;
not for harm or though for strife....

My best pal, a confidant.
who will I turn to now;
when I am so much different ,
than my sisters are somehow.....

A woman who all her life;
Loved only just one man,
stayed as long as she could ,
but went to her loving man....

She loved us all unconditionally;
All of her children and her Grands,
Always independent,
Right up to her last stand........
