Heart of a Flower
The wind might howl.
The air might chill the spine of leaves.
The sky is a theatre of tragedy and
despair. The fateful romance of gods.
I flocked to the Sun with Dandelion seeds.
The hopes and wonder of Icarus.
And as dried bones of summer
trembled from branches, I found my courage.
For a while, I forgot my human heart.
