Until You're Ready G

A simple sound, your voice, my day’s delight,
It cuts the noise, and makes the whole world right.
A word from you, a simple text or two,
There’s nothing in this world I wouldn’t do,
Just to keep this rhythm, sweet and low,
A gentle garden where my feelings grow.

That smile you have, a sudden, burning light,
It’s so damn hot, it brightens up the night.
It makes me happy just to watch it bloom,
Chasing all the shadow from the room.
And seeing your face, a sight I can’t forget,
The best view that my eyes have ever met.

You make me happy, this is plain to see,
But oh, my love, you have no clue what you mean to me.
The "like" I say is just the surface shade,
A tiny marker of the choice I made.
My love runs deeper than the ocean floor,
With every single day, I love you more.

I told you once, a promise strong and true,
That I would wait, my darling, just for you.
Until you're ready, I will hold the line,
Patiently waiting for the day you might be mine.
My heart is yours, the key is in your hand,
I’ll wait forever, you must understand.
