What we became
We didn't even grow apart,
We just fell apart, that's the saddest part.
I once held your heart, that's the maddest part,
Yet somehow I became the one who tore it apart.
I let fear speak louder than love,
Turned our forever into "what it was."
Now every memory leaves another scar,
Cause I destroyed something beautiful from where we are.
And when it all gave way, there was no warning, no pause,
It came crashing down beneath the weight of my flaws.
Everything we built, every promise, every laugh,
Fell all at once, like an avalanche.
