The Reaper

I wonder what the sweet kiss of Death would feel like, the reaper taking me in their arms. Would it be peaceful? Would the voices in my mind finally calm down? Would the tears in my eyes dry? Would the abuse I suffered leave my mind permanently or would the hands that stained my childlike body remain like permanent ink? Do not fret, Death is our friend. It is finally the Gods saying that it is okay, and it is time for your soul to come home. I want to embrace death, but would anyone notice if I did? Would it take long for the few people I care about to notice me gone? I think it may only take a month or two for everyone to stop grieving. My soul is tarred, tainted, and scarred. Nobody misses someone like that. So, Death, if you are reading this, I'm ready. Ready for you to embrace me once more, just like that day I lost sight in one eye. Take me, O' Death, glorious feared friend. Your darkness soothes me.
