                                            There are firsts in life
                                           you should strive to do,
                                            like saying “hello” first
                                               or “how are you?”
                                           Extend your hand first
                                               and offer a smile,
                                making friendliness your natural style.
                                     When relaying a compliment,
                                                  be sincere…
                                            Let strangers know
                                         they are welcome here!
                                  And, since we all make mistakes
                                     no matter how long we live,
                                      it will serve your heart well
                                     when you’re first to forgive.
