The words are the same, but the meaning has changed
The world changes in countless ways,
under the harsh sunlight of time
even words lose their shade.
The words remain the same,
yet their meanings
shift like reflections in a broken mirror.
How beautiful childhood was—
the heart was fragile,
yet it was honest.
Whatever rose within
rested gently on the lips.
There was no fear of answers,
no weight of regret.
Today, silence advises us
before we speak,
because here
every truth
waits to be proven wrong.
Trust now rests
in the hands of strangers,
while our own
are quietly abandoned
in the crowd.
In childhood, relationships
were like marbles—
simple, colorful,
free of victory and defeat.
Today, those same bonds
stand on a chessboard,
where every move
is carefully calculated.
This world has grown selfish;
even the winds
change their direction for gain.
What belongs to you
will be taken away,
and the finger that points in blame
will still turn toward you.
How precious that childhood world was—
where a crying face
found shelter in a lap,
and tiny hands,
like gentle rain,
washed the tears away.
And today…
this world has turned to stone.
Here, someone’s house collapses,
someone’s heart breaks.
Emotions are murdered in silence,
and instead of wiping tears,
evidence is carefully erased.
If only…
on the map of time,
one street of childhood
still remained,
perhaps then
humanity would not feel
so utterly orphaned.
