I spazzed

I spazzed
Cause the weight on my chest got too heavy to hold,
Cause the truth in my throat wouldn’t stay controlled,
Cause the story I carried was never told —
So I spazzed.
I spazzed…
When the pain in my past started pulling me back
When the peace I pretended began to crack
When the love I gave never came back
Yeah, I spazzed
I spazzed
Cause I broke my silence trying to survive
Cause I swallowed hurt just to feel alive
Cause I kept the peace while losing mine
So I spazzed
I spazzed
When “be strong” stopped working,
When old wounds started burning,
When my tired heart kept turning
So I spazzed.
I spazzed
But not out of madness out of release,
Not for destruction I wanted peace,
Not because I’m weak but because I’m me.
And that moment set me free.
So if you hear me say it again
I spazzed
Just know it’s the truth finally rising,
The storm inside me finally aligning,
The quiet girl finally shining.
Yeah
I spazzed.
