On a night like this

On a night like this
I often sit and think
where is the tinkle in my eyes
It's lost
Lost in shadows deep
where echoes weep

On a night like this
I feel a silent ache
Tears cascade like autumn rain
Lost in a world of lingering pain

On a night like this
When moonlight whispers
shadows dance
Heartbeats echo
a mournful trance.

On a night like this
when my inner child wails
I see behind
all the bloody trails
Red from the wounds that once used to bleed
Now for which no attention I need

On a night like this
when a distant star gleams
the canvas of my life screams
Burning sensation of the strokes it's fed
It's liveliness which now is dead

On a night like this
when I reminisce
the hugs of sadness, the tragic bliss
Wilted roses, memories fade,
In the garden where hopes once played.
A somber symphony, the heart's refrain,
Echoes of joy drowned in silent pain.

On a night like this
when the raindrops kiss my face
Silence holds me in it's somber embrace
Raindrops mimic the tears that fall,
Echoes of a melancholy call.
Broken verses, a tale untold,
In the book of sorrow, pages unfold.

On a night like this
when the moon caresses the scars unseen
And beautifies the gaps within
Through the tears, resilience grows,
In the garden of pain, a heart still glows.
A poetic dance of joy and despair,
In the tapestry of life, woven with care
Through the verses of a mournful song,
Healing melodies slowly prolong.
In the poetry of grief, a resilient art,
A masterpiece born from a shattered heart.

On a night like this...
