Life Is Beautiful
Life is beautiful because even though it is cloudy, I know that the sun is still there.
Life is beautiful because, yes, I am driving in my car, but I am also racing the squirrel on the side of the road.
I let him win sometimes, and I like to imagine that when he gets home, he will reward himself with extra acorns for dinner.
Life is beautiful because I can listen to classical music in my headphones while balancing on an imaginary tightrope on my way to class.
Life is beautiful when you realize that people do not care about you as much as you sometimes think.
They do not judge you when your stomach growls in the middle of class,
Or when you have bags under your eyes,
Or when you silently cry,
But life is especially beautiful when you realize that there are people who really do care about you,
Like when your stomach growls and a friend offers you one of their snacks,
Or when a friend checks in on you when you're not getting enough sleep,
Or when a friend hands you a tissue to dry your tears.
Life is beautiful when someone asks you, "What were you saying?" after getting interrupted,
Because people care about what you have to say.
Life is beautiful when you feel the sun shining on your face because it is giving you a kiss from 92 million miles away.
Life is beautiful because of the "I love you"s
And the eye contact
And the giggles
And the hearts that will break but won't be broken forever.
Life is beautiful because of the people you knew then and the people you know now and the people you will know in the future.
Life is beautiful because of everything and nothing.
Life is beautiful.
