The Bet

Me and my god, we made a bet
and if I was right he’d clear me of debt
That pain was in-fact inherent to men
That hell was a place before their was sin

I spoke of war, what man’s will had brought
to Eden and Rome, the battles they fought
How freedom was gained when kindness was lost
How men will choose victory no matter the cost
