Still waiting

I know I’ll never reach you now,
But if someday you reach me somehow,
I’ll pour my heart, let it all unfold,
Reveal the truths I’ve always controlled.

I’ll tell you how I’ve felt through years,
The nights I drowned in silent tears.
I cried for you, though I let you go,
You stood by me—but I didn’t show.

I don’t know now how you might feel,
Unseen by you, my love is real.
I’m still there, trapped in that space,
Where our paths split, leaving no trace.

I untied the knot, but not by will,
Time and tides broke what stood still.
I never wished for us to part,
You were my soul, my beating heart.

Now you’ve moved on, far and wide,
Do I even cross your mind, inside?
How can I tell you I linger there,
In a world where we were a perfect pair?

Despite the distance—both vast and near,
I sense a bond that feels so clear.
But is it my dream, a fleeting thought,
Or do you feel the same, though we’re apart?

So I wait, in silence, for your sign,
One word, one gesture, to make you mine.
I’ll come running, my heart laid bare,
Because you’re the only one—I swear.
