The broken watch

Cracked glass upon a gold metal scrap
The ticking arms yell for help under it's trap
Not used but still covered in a band of gold
It's worth a marvelous amount as so it is told
It was loved by the one who broke the clasp
Abandoned later by the only wrist it wraps
Only time will tell how this marvel will end
Although only fate could tell if it will mend
