Forgive me if my love seemed less

Forgive me if my love seemed less
( An apology to myself )

Forgive me if my love seemed less
when you were fading into the dark,
If I couldn't grasp your hand as shadows pulled you far apart.
When you drowned in bittersweet memories, lost in the endless blue,
I longed to save you, but my arms couldn't reach you.

Forgive me if my love seemed less
when you're doused with intrusive thoughts and let 'em win
possessed by your introvertness you couldn't even walk around
when you're bashful I couldn't make smart enough to accept
for who you're, what you do and how you do

Forgive me if my love seemed less
when your altruistic nature was questioned and I gaslighted you
persuading you to have sleepless nights and turning the tables
I know you're at your best place but I incited you to work more
to be the best among all 'cause you're never like them !
