Renewed Hope

It's a new dawn they say
why can't I see that?
Everywhere is dark with no sign of light
The birds are chirping
The trees; dancing
To the tune of the blowing wind.
Like there is something to be happy about
My hopes are shattered
My dreams look unattainable
But why do I feel this fire
burning within me?
It is unquenchable and wants me to stay hopeful.
Is this an indication of a coming win?
Remain hopefully I hear a voice whisper
Be persistent it says.
Today, I choose to stand up
Stand up to my battles
with renewed hope.
