Ode to a Father’s Eternal Light

Oh father, my guiding light,
Your presence, now but a memory bright.
In the quiet whispers of the wind,
I hear your voice lingering within.

Your laughter filled the air with joy,
Your wisdom, a beacon to my soul.
But now you have taken your final flight,
Leaving a void that never can be whole.

I remember the touch of your gentle hand,
The way you held me close in a loving embrace.
You were my rock, my anchor in life’s storm,
And now I am adrift in an endless space.

But though you may be gone from sight,
Your spirit lingers on in the starry night.
I feel your presence in the gentle rain,
And in the sunlight that breaks through the pain.

The memories we shared will never fade,
In my heart, your love will forever stay.
For you were more than just a father to me,
You were a beacon of light, eternally.

So I will cherish the moments we had,
And hold onto the lessons you taught.
For though you may have left this earthly plane,
In my heart, your love will never be forgot.

Rest in peace, dear father, my guide,
Your spirit lives on, shining bright inside.
And though I may shed tears of sorrow,
I know you’re with me, today and tomorrow.

In the vast expanse of the universe,
Your light will forever shine, never to disperse.
And in the quiet moments of reflection,
I feel your love, a timeless connection.

Oh father, my guiding light,
In your memory, I find solace in the night.
For though you may have left this earthly shore,
In my heart, your love will endure evermore.

Thanks for sharing this... exposing your thoughts through your unique poetic style. Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed. (This is more of a rhyme... not a haiku.)
