Letting Go

I don't know why I feel so strange, so tired, so clouded am I going insane?
Then I find you, the kernel inside, the drive that keeps me going through the rest of my life, the growing joy, the best part of my life.
I see you growing, I see you moving inside, the little hand floating from side to side, letting me know you're little heart's beating as strong as mine, I'm bursting with pride.
Oh no it's early! Babygirl, it's not yet your time, I'm scared, I'm nervous, I'm starting to cry.
What's happening? You're blue, you're not moving, you're not even cryin.
I can't see you..... they rushed you outside. I'm not even sure if you're even alive..... I'm waiting.... You're breathin...
Just as I let out that relieful sigh....
Then in a blink of eye I'm sending you off to school and saying our first real long day goodbye.
It scares me. I pick you up you're laughing, I'm crying you learned so much, made so many friends, said " look mommy I got this gold star today just for trying."
I'm not gonna lie, I sat in my room that first night and cried, my baby was now a big girl out to reach for the sky.
I turned around and now today is our last 1st long day goodbye. For today you finish the journey we started. All those days have flown right by.
You get that diploma, you walk out of your child like life, and walk right into your womanly pride!
I couldn't be prouder. I know you will make a wonderful life. You are strong, beautiful, confident, a warrior, truly one of a kind.
Don't worry Mommy will always be here, there is nothing to fear. Enjoy the journey, enjoy the ride, hold your head up beautiful girl you earned that gold star now the world gets to see you shine!

Love , Mommy
