Eat My Tears

I matter less because I'm matterless
I'll sink my teeth into your skin
And with the milkweed's kiss
We will live through it all again
With anger in my veins
And love in my blood
I slit the pathway for my friends,
Watch them escape one by one

Welcome to Poetry Soup. I welcome you with the love of the Lord, expressed by John 3:16 of the Bible, "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." Be blessed.

You have done well here to give an explanation for others who may not be as good with words or brave enough to put their feelings out there but need to get things off their chest somehow. Powerful stuff that is relatable as we all want to Love and be loved but anger is lurking to spoil things and preventing recognition of self worth. You have an instinct for using words to best effect. Look forward to reading more of your work. Best regards David in NZ 70 years life experience.
