mother's child

stolen lipsticks, and your perfume                                                                                                                                                                                                            strawberries that you resent                                                                                                                                                                                                                     you grow older every june                                                                                                                                                                                                                     and i've stopped ageing ever since                                                                                                                                                                                                        the first thing i did to you -- bruise you for nine months                                                                                                                                                                   i was detached from you the moment                                                                                                                                                                                             they cut your umbilical cord                                                                                                                                                                                                                     first scar on my body                                                                                                                                                                                                                              i didn't know how to ride a bicycle                                                                                                                                                                                                      your tears -- heavier than rain                                                                                                                                                                                                                 was everything my fault?                                                                                                                                                                                                                             i left your womb when i was one day old                                                                                                                                                                                                i haven't been home ever since
