MY DAILY CONVO
why do i exist?
why am i alive?
why do we destroy ourselves
for others.
we wanna die but what
about our mothers.
RUTS and MUTS!
is what we're called,
we might as well just be
mauled!
we might not have bruises
but the mental wounds have
us on our knee
crying in pain with no one to hear.
we fight and fight
our demons inside
but they laugh they laugh at us
cause we'll always be losers
in that fight
we're restless at night,
frightful at light,
wishing that we might
be freed from life.
hypocrites lie saying
"you'll get through it"
but do they know what's in my mind?
DO THEY KNOW WHAT IT'S LIKE TO WANNA DIE!
SO HOW, HOW CAN THEY LIE
to us
WHY do they lie
to us and TELL US THAT
WE ARE ALRIGHT,
WHEN WE'RE NOT!
we're not, we're not alright!
They say stop playing
VICTIM!
WELL I AM A VICTIM!
IM A VICTIM OF DEPRESSION!
IM A VICTIM OF SELFHARM!
IM A VICTIM OF THIS GENERATION!
IM A VICTIM OF ANXIETY!
IM A VICTIM OF MY HEAD!
but of course
i say all this inside
my head
quite as a whisper i nod
my head
when asked are you alright?
are any of us all right?
are we ever alright?
