Where nightly mornings quake

The beauty of the wilderness
The ghost I never called
And now it’s coming down to this
The promise has been sold
We walk here in this nothingness
Of fortune yet untold
Of caring in this gracefulness
The daring and the bolt

The pain that never left my side
The mourning of the night
The wounds of each and every fight
How could time set this right

The tender and courageous fate
The abyss of the fairy lake
Was calling from some desert state
Where no one merely prayed
The dispersal of a heavy weight
How come those sweetest blossoms wake
Just that outrageous late
Where nightly mornings quake
