Wonders of Wonderful Cooking

Whisking clear white egg whites
Cracking one by one
As they stiffen
They double in size
Isn't it beautiful?
Like a cake rising in the oven
A pie crisping up
sifting flour
It sprinkles like fresh soft snow into the bowl
What a Marvel!
Kneading bread dough
tough as it is to do
It makes you smile
makes you giggle
Then it triples
becoming a fluffy soft pillow
Isn't it magical?
When you glide your rubber spatula
across the top of the batter
in the pan
Flick the oven light on
and sit there
watch the cake transform
once a wet gooey goodness
now a light moist cloud
A Mystery it is.....
Read the wonders of wonderful cooking
In my poem up above
My little write to the kitchen arts
Try it
There's nothing that you won't love!

(Except for the cleaning!!!!!)
