"2 Years Ago : Prologue To Our Book."

Grabbing onto the last ray of sunshine,
Lifted into this heaven.
I know now that your mine,
Cuz right now no one’s pretending.

Standing on cloud nine,
You and I hand in hand, face to face.
I’m more than just fine,
With you by my side, in this place.

A soundtrack to our story plays,
Giving our surroundings a beat.
Right here, right now, where I want to stay.
No feeling could ever compete.

You grab my hand, turn me around,
Dancing like there’s only today.
Now our hearts beat… the only sound.
You take my breath away.

Here we are, in our own oasis,
Stars glowing above us, a hint…a clue.
And I don’t know how to say this…
But they’re spelling it out : I’m meant for you.

In scripted in the star struck sky.
Tattooed across my pounding heart.
Engraved in each thought I compile.
Two years ago was just a start.

The prologue to our book.
A new chapter is begun.
Cuz if you take another look…
The rest is still to be written, we’re on chapter 1.
