Worth

I saw a ray of light beaming
A big smile on your face
...catching me off guard
I felt your energy radiating
Warm…comforting…trying to draw me in
I am scared and my thoughts are racing
You are trying to break down this wall
This wall. The same wall I created for you…
To block you out…to hide my vulnerability
…And now suddenly out of the blue
Here you are...
Seemingly innocent and caring
Gloomy eyes piercing and daring…trying to unnerve me
But I know my worth
I am strong, and I am vivacious
…Never to be fooled again
I have earned back my reign
I am that woman who stood up courageously
You are done…I am no longer a victim of pain and destruction
You are done giving me misery
I can lift my head up high…and finally…finally I have found my destiny
