To my beautiful kids

Five and six and I’m just now starting to understand there’s things you must learn to fix.

I want to catch your every fall. Ive wanted to save you from all the pain, bumps, and bruises since the day you could crawl.

There are so many days I feel like I’m doing it all wrong, and though I’m supposed to be in the moment, I know some days seem long.

I want you guys to be each other’s rock, I want you guys to be able to lean on one another and always be there to talk.

I hope I make you feel loved, safe, and warm. But always wanted you to know not every day is sunny every now and then believe me, it will storm.

I hope I’m doing the important things right I want to teach you to always fight.

I know I make so many mistakes every day, and I wish I always had the right words to say.

I hope you both know you are my entire world, you guys have made me a better mother and I hope when I’m gone, you both will always be there for one another.

As you get older, you’re going to have to make your own mistakes and there are going to be days you must make a choice and never forget to use your voice.

As a mother, I’m supposed to prepare you for what’s ahead, there will be sometimes my worries and my saving you must remain unsaid.

To my beautiful kids, you both are kind, beautiful, and smart, never forget to always follow your heart.
