Herein Lies Truth

4 July 2025  Juxtaposition Contest
sponsored by Regina McIntosh

Can a lie be true?
Unwittingly!

Can truth be a lie:
unable to see?

Is what I perceive the only truth;
or, just my angled point of view?

Where is the bird’s-eye scene:
the whole, the real
that holds all things, and all of time?

Surely, that is God’s:
not mine.

Creative poetry for the contest, Jeanette. Jesus said, "I am the way, the Truth and the Life ..." The Truth is in Him. As you said, on earth man has their truth, and each man's may be different. I enjoyed your poem and think it will do well in the contest, my friend. Smiles ~ Blessings Bill

A thoughtful poem about truth, difficult to grasp. I've heard it said that fictional novels can be truer than non-fiction, and I agree.

"Is what I perceive the only truth, or just my angled point of view?" -- Very nicely done, Jeanette. World Truth? Or personal Truth? They may be different...but both, Truth. Both correct. Thought producing writing. Best of luck with contest.

Nice entry for the contest. As for me, I believe the Creator has generously shared important truths with mankind via his holy word the Bible
