Justice

People don't laugh at funerals
except, perhaps in their hearts.
For as long as the speeches are ringing out,
breathe evenly.

And measure against veracity the hears of the praise,
knowing that justice
is quietly waiting in the corner.

This reminded me about the guy who fell asleep and snored at my mother-in-laws funeral. Several folks got tickled. Nice poem...Marty
