The Lady With a Torch

I stand in this Harbor
Anchored deep below
Arm raised, torch held
High, for Liberty we love
I Refuse to let go

Mighty storms I have withstood
Witness to darkness
I have seen
Still , I remain here , if anyone
Cares to look out to sea

Freedom doesnt come
without a stand up, knock
down fight, Knees
never bend buckle , Liberty
I watch over , both in day
And thru dark of night

Corruption has surfaced, floated
Across distant waters, been thrown
On our shore; stinking fish on
the sand, begging for removal
Before it spreads across our land

There will be no compromise,
While on my freedom watch,
I've stood here , never giving ground
24/7 on the clock
I am Liberty's Lady Rock!
