What I Would Give For An Apology Right Now

I turned my back on the world a long time ago, but you can't turn your back on it all. As much as I deserve to be emotionless, deeper and deeper yet - I will fall. So are you my curse or my blessing? Because sometimes I can't tell. I need you so badly, and it hurts like hell. Sometimes so good, sometimes so bad. Sometimes so happy, most often too sad. I can't keep holding my breath, walking on eggshells with everything on the line. I try to unlock what you hide away, and cover with "I'm fine." You know the power you have on me, the ache I feel when I'm low. And although nothing seems it will ever change, I am still happy pretending not to know.
