Stomp

When my body jerks
Falling to the rhythm
Hands move
Feet slam down
Eyes held in rapture
Looking at nothing
But see everything
I want to feel your body
Feel skin on skin
Listen as you hit the floor
Feel the crack
When my foot comes down
On your clutching hand
Then I'll spin away
Dancing to the beat
While you bleed out
And I'll do it again
Till I'm on your level
Or The beat ceases
I feel my heart shudder
Reach the crescendo
Blood rush to the head
Elbow to a face
Kick to a thigh
Boot to your face
Spit flies
Blood drips
My nose is broken
My fist cut, bleeding
I feel alive
My eye swelling shut
But the beat starts again
And off I go
To do it all once more
