When the Time Stands Still
The saplings are growing into plants
and the plants are ageing into trees
They stand tall and stagnant
getting bored of the cool sea breeze
?Whiling away the days and nights
they strike a sense of emptiness
Dolce Far Niente ambience is spreading its wings
the dusk is taking all their hues, making them colourless
Soaring far and above the clouds of hollow thoughts
the mind draws a silver lining through them
Coruscating the dew on their surface
it runs a spark in their dormant roots and stems
They wait for the dawn to appear
bringing their charismatic life back
Complacent, they stand against the tide of time
rejoicing the present till it again turns black
